ABOUT
A Stretch of Time is the final chapter of Ali Eslami’s False Mirror project, an artistic exploration of post-human existence within digital spaces. This short film follows a disembodied figure who becomes trapped in an underground, ever-expanding network of memories. To escape, the protagonist must navigate and interact with fragments of both familiar and alien memories, challenging the concept of ‘newness’ and the overwhelming nature of digital fatigue. Utilizing virtual production techniques in Unreal Engine and footage from the game Assetto Corsa, the film blends elements of cinema, video games, and virtual reality to create a narrative that exists entirely within the digital realm.
My role in this project involved sound design and music composition. I was responsible for creating soundscapes throughout the entire film, ensuring that every moment on the timeline was supported by appropriate audio. Additionally, I composed music for key scenes to enhance the film’s emotional impact. The project also included narrations that required careful editing and manipulation to seamlessly integrate with the rest of the audio elements, contributing to a cohesive and immersive auditory experience.
